INTRODUCTION

“ANYTHING GOOD ALWAYS BEGINS WITH DESIRE – ALWAYS”

YOU, MY FRIEND, ARE A DESIGNER.

YOU ALWAYS HAVE BEEN; YOU ALWAYS WILL BE.

And because you’re a designer, you’re always designing things: Your living spaces, your daily clothing ensembles (for work, play, exercise, sleep, etc.), your work and career, your retirement and investments portfolio, your family and relationships, your personal growth, and your hobbies. The question, though, is this: Do you design those elements intentionally?

i’d like to ask
that question again

I’d like to ask that question again…

In your day-to-day—day-in day-out—life-design activities, are you intentional in those efforts? Yes? No? Maybe? Sometimes? If you’re reading this, I bet you’re intentional in at least a few arenas of your life.

That asked, I believe there’s an even deeper, more relevant—and revealing—question we all need to ask ourselves, and that’s this: [Self/Name…] What do you really want in life?

This is most definitely a weightier, more revealing question. If you don’t know what you want, the long-term “products” of your daily life-design, no matter how diligent you might be, will probably not be grounded in who you really are, in what you truly want, in who you dream of one day being and becoming, and in what makes you come alive (or light up) as a person and Image-bearer of Jesus, the Lord God Almighty.

So, again i ask you:
What do you want?

Notice I’m not asking, “What does your spouse want for you or say you should want?” Or “What does the church or culture around you say you should want?” Or, even, “What does that voice (or internal storyline, recording) inside you say you should want in order to be a good person, a happy person, or (if your super-pious) a good Christian or witness to your faith?”

The question of the day, the question of the moment, the question of every moment is this: What do YOU want?

My overarching purpose in creating MyRevelLife is to inspire you to partner with Jesus to help you develop the tools you need to discover what it is you want in the really big arenas of life (by learning who you are and what you’re really about), to discover what will be required of you to get what you want, and then to pay the price required to get those things.

By big arenas, I’m not really talking about having a steady paycheck, an upwardly mobile career, a growing and thriving “ministry,” a comfortable family life, a healthy net worth, or a home with a two-car garage. While these may be good things, they fall short of the more foundational pursuits, which underly and influence the type of work you pursue, the family you create, the life you design for yourself, and the impact you bring to the lives of the people around you. What I’m talking about here are the intangibles of true, whole-hearted living:

walking in intimacy with:

GOD
through
“Participative-theoria”

YOUR OWN SELF
through Personal Integratedness

THE PEOPLE
AROUND YOU
through Redemptive Community

NATURE
through Eco-social
connectedness

MyRevelLife exists to help you in your quest to discover these things. More than that, we exist to help you pursue and grow in these very personal and life-encompassing intimacies, which, organically and supernaturally, create a life of whole-heartedness.
