The Mantric Prayer of the Beloved

Jesus… O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God…

Y-you’ve loved me with an everlasting love, and Y-you’ve drawn me with unfailing kindness.

Y-you, O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God, are enough; and Y-your Grace [see definition below], O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God, is sufficient.

Accordingly, O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God, I rest in Y-your loving faithfulness.

I love Y-you, Lord—I love Y-you so very much! Thank Y-you for loving me!

Enable me, O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God, to be and become, with You and the people around me, more the way Y-you are with me.

Enable me, O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God, to love as Y-you love; for Y-your perfect love, O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God, is THE answer—to everything.

Enable me, O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God, to forgive as Y-you forgive—totally, completely, and forever.

And…

Enable me, O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God, to be and become An Unoffendable One in Your Kingdom and throughout the Whole of the Created Order.

Again… I love Y-you, Lord—I love Y-you so very much! Thank Y-you for loving me!

In Y-your Name, Lord Jesus, I ask for and declare all these things and no-things…

Amen, and AMEN!! O Living, Illuminating, and Loving God… MAY IT ALL BE SO!!

God’s Grace (God’s Charis), a biblical definition…

The word typically translated “grace” in the Bible is the Greek word charis. God’s Charis means God’s love, kindness, and favor experienced through His—or, rather, Their—Presence being extended (or mediated) to humankind. To render charis as “love” or “grace” is not necessarily incorrect. In the Scriptures, though, God’s Charis is far grander (and more nuanced) than just “God’s grace.” It is, in fact, The Trinity’s extending of Themselves to humankind. In Western Christianity (principally, evangelical thought), God’s Charis is defined often as “God’s unmerited favor to fallen humankind.” I consider that a limited view of what God’s Charis truly is. God’s Charis is more than just favor (or “unmerited favor”). God’s Charis is Their Loving Presence and the Mediated Energies of that Presence (meaning, Their Lovingkindness that can be appropriated readily and experienced intimately by humanity). Again, God’s Charis is The Trinity intimately EXTENDING and MEDIATING THEMSELVES to humankind.
